Ah, the YouTube Compilation: Either the funniest or most horrifying video you'll se of your day. I must admit I've nt watched many of them since the turn of the decade (if that's ever a phrase), but I occasionally dabble in them from time to time. A little while ago your truly was watching a video on his computer when I glanced over to the recommendations sidebar to see this wonderful video. Never wound up watching it, but one must appreciate the thumbnail artistry coupled with the title. Anyhow, this is nly the second in a series of 4 interesting YouTube videos that've been chucked into my recommended over the past couple months, so expect more (especially if even more "interesting" videos fin their way into my recommended).

The new year is a great opportunity to leave things in the past and start anew, turn a new leaf if you will. And I think I found what I want to leave behind in the 2023: Iceberg videos. Can we all just agree that this trend has been used enough? I know it isn't exactly the most deep or exciting content, so the people of Neocities are above such low-brow peasantry. But even if you don't watch them (which I don't), I think we can all say we've had enough of these videos. I mean, I think I know what's going to be at teh bottom of this particular iceberg, as someone whose been around the internet for a while and has seen the chatlogs from the Kero Zoo Crew™ Telegram server, just to name one example. It's commendable how long this video trend has lasted, considering iceberg videos tend to still get some views, but I think it's just time to let it rest and move on. After all, video essays are whats in now, and the people you see getting big on YouTube now are all video essayists.

Well, it seems like another year has came and went. But who craes about that, lets look at another little quirky thing I found on Amazon. I forget why exactly but I decided to look at what Amazon had eitehr on sale or had trending for arts and crafts, and I went back quite a few pages to see some good ol' faeshioned kinky sex gear. Now I don't know about you, but I keep my sex gear next to the super glue and clear tape. Don't we all? Just kidding... or am I?

November 28th, 2023

Well, if you don't like large amounts of reading, then you're in luck, as this image is quite self-explanitory. I was browsing Amazon for a book I needed for one of my classes, and this popped up. If there's one thing in know about HP Lovecraft, it's that He named his cat a rather unfortunate thing owing to the color of it's fur. Apparently this was indicative of a greater pattern of behavior, but again I don't know much about the guy. If you didn't know this already, then I'll just let you figure this out on your own.

Happy Halloween! Ah, Halloween; the only day of the year where you can dress like a weirdo and not get stares. Anyway, today I've got something real spooky for everyone. You know what's scarier than razor blades in your candy or getting shot for knocking the wrong door? Pyschosis. Or, depending on the type of person you are, bending the rules. Either works. This leads me into today's topic where I did possibly bend my own rules, but not really break them, as I took a screenshot of a frame of someone's video, but I'll get to that later.

Today's subject is a YouTuber known as Jalyn. Now, if you're familiar with YouTube drama (more specifically of the commentary variety) from over the past year, then this name might ring a bell. For the unacquainted, however, allow me to summarize: Jalyn is a commentary YouTuber who became known for repeatedly going, for lack of a better term, batshit insane, and then "apologizing", and then promptly not changing anything to prevent further episodes. These episodes would include racism, support of Hitler, and a myriad of other things not typically said by those of sound mind (as shown in the picture below), and they would usually be triggered by something relatively trivial. One notable example being in a Discord call with a bunch of people who clearly just wanted to fuck with them, before Jalyn gets frustrated, calls one of the the unholy n-word, and leaving the call before rampaging through the internet's favorite insane asylum: That being Twitter. Now, why did I decide to talk about this person for this month's post? Was it just to bully someone who is mentally unwell for cheap laughs? No actually, it's quite the opposite: I am making this post as a warning to those who are, as the kids say, "going through it rn". I'm no psychologist, but I don't need to be one in order to tell you that something is very wong with Jalyn, but their seemingly steadfast refusal to do anything about it has led them to a cycle of constant pain and humiliation. If you or someone close to you is going through something similar, please seek professional help. I know it's cheesy at this point, but you or the person who you're concerned about will do yourself/themself absolutely no favors by doing nothing. Being in anticipation of your next psyche break is no way to live. There are plenty of resources to help you out, so please use them if you need them.

If you're interested in this situation (or just like watching the world burn), there are plenty of good videos to watch which catalog all of the breakdowns thus far, including the video I (if remembering correctly) got this screenshot from, which is by "Lanza" and can be found here. Alright, I think hat's enough preachiness for today.

September 30th, 2023

Hey look, I actually did the thing I said I would! Aren't you so proud of me? Anyhow, a few months ago I was messing around with DallE (insert backlash here) and I tried to generate country flags that didn't exist, and this was a particularly... interesting outcome. According to DallE, apparently neither Spain nor Palestine exist. I'll let you be the judge of which is the less controversial take.

Here's another image that's been fermenting for a while. I was curious one day an decided to see what Roblox Dev Avectus was up to since he got assassinated by Roblox mods. Looked at his Twitter (no I'm not calling it X) and it was suprising still active, and then I found... this. I guess if there's anything good about this it's that at least he's being honest? But I would still recommend (in my non-professional opinion) to try and get this sorted out. Other than this though his Twitter seems pretty mundane, although there ws no mention of Roblox devving from what I recall so maybe this is some random dude who took the name "Avectus", or after getting banned he decided to wipe his Twitter of all Roblox-relaed things. It's been a while since I last visited his profile as mentioned earlier though, so maybe he just burried his Roblox-related posts. Anyway, if all goes well then tomorrow or this weekend should be one last September post so i can catch-up with the posts I missed.

This blog is no stranger to ads on YouTube straight-out of the insane asylum, and this one isn't too different, except it doesn't feature any porn. Took this a while back when I got it on, of all things, a PilotRedSun video. Whoever decided to make a title unnecessarily ominous, I'll tell you right now you're a marketing genius.

August 8th, 2023

Happy 2 year anniversary! Gonna try and make up for some of the posts I've missed recently, including last month's. Anyway, here's an old screenshot from 2020 when I was browsing the recently available names ection of NameMC. Supposedly Mojang has a way of banning/resetting accounts with bad names, but I've not seen it in action, and maybe that's not the worst thing. Not a whole lot else to say other than this wasn't teh most uncommon occurance on there, so maybe I'll post more of it later.

Guess who forgot to update their blog for 2 months in a row! That's right, it was yours truly. Not like anyone cares though, except for me... kinda. Anyway, a few months ago I was browsing Xbox 360 games on Ebay when I saw in the related listings section this page for a sealed copy of Half-Life 2 for the original Xbox going for a grand total of $200 buckaroos. Now, there's one major problem with this, and it's that the port of Half-life 2 for the original Xbox is notoriously bad. That coupled with the fact that it's a graded game--which is a whole other problem in itself that Karl Jobst exposed a year or so ago--and you'd wonder why anyone would ever send $200 over it. Although, usually graded games go for much higher, so maybe the game's reputation has saved some poor dork a few hundred dollars.

Kept procrastinating on posting so I missed the March post. Anyway here's another sussy wussy profile picture in the same place as the last post. Not as agregious as the previous one, but it's still... something.

Feburary 28th, 2023

It's that time of the month again! And no, I'm not talking my period (that's gonna be kinda hard to have happen since I'm a dude (with a dick (and balls (I know I'm very funny)))), I'm talking about my once-per-month post! Speaking of dick and balls I have something suprising that I hadn't even thought of being possible which I found on YouTube.com, which might not sound all that suprising if you know what goes down on YouTube, but let me explain. I was looking through my subscribed channels list, and I was looking at one small channel that I don't know why I was subscribed to, and their subscribed channels were public, so naturally I took a look at them and I saw this profile picture. Now I've censored it for this site (though you can easily look up this channel yourself and see the uncensored version), I think I'll let you guess what my not-even-2-minute paint.net job is covering up. I'll give you a hint: It has to do with something I mentioned earlier in the paragraph.

First post of the new year, and we already have a banger. I was trying to find ways I can save a draft for an article I was editing on a wiki (spoiler, I didn't find any and just used a text file) and in my searches I came across this... peculiar webpage. I would be glad to share more of it, however it seems I can no longer access it as the entire website appears to be offline. What I do remember from it however was a very basic (and I mean Times New Roman on a white backgroud basic) page with the description seen on google, then under that there was what looked like the beginning of a Wings of Fire fanfic which wasn't explicitly erotic, and under that was a massive wall of text which I assumed to be keywords for the page to get picked-up by search engines. I will try to look for this page (hoping there's a chached version), and will update everyone if/when I have found something.

And for those wondering why I would want to find such heinous content, well all I can say is that curiosity killed the cat. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Though maybe it will kill me, but I can only know that if I find it.

Merry late Christmas and Happy on-time New Year! I've procrastinated posting until now, and once I relaized I had nothing to post, I went searching my Screenshots folder as usual. I re-discovered this screenshot which I've decided to share, as it is one of (if not THE) truest Twitter post of all time. Some might even go as far as to say it's "based" (shocking, I know). Ever since I first read this post over 2 years ago, it has never escaped my mind, which I find to be for the better. Every once in a while I think about it because sometimes things happen which are too ridiculous, too incredibly silly, too brainded stupid to happen in real life, but they inexplicably do. I'm sure you can think of some examples of such yourself, and now I bless you with this saying to sum all of it up.

About a week ago I was watching a video about a bad DnD videogame, and decided to look up it's developer (Bedlam Games). When I did, I apparently got the stats for a sports rivalry between Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State, so that's cool I guess? Looking it up as I write this doesn't have this info in the blurb on Google, but the first result is the Wikipedia article for the sports rivalry, so rip broken blurb. Oh yeah, I'm back also.

Anyone else ever notice how the comment section on any music video is just a dick-sucking contest? Maybe I'm just an asshole, but for whatever primal reason I get very annoyed at the comment sections on YouTube music videos. Now, it's not like comments actually affect the music, my enjoyment of it, or really anything but people really make it seem like whatever song I'm listening to will bring the second coming of Jesus. The music video for "Hey Ya" is both especially affected by this but also different than other cases. There are a few videos explaining the lyrics of this up-beat and happy-sounding song, which you may even have seen as they're somewhat popular. In the comment section of this video everyone is praising the songs and also being like "OMG this is SO DEEP I'm literally crying and pissing and shitting and cumming rn" which is both annoying and kinda funny. This comment (also on the music video) pretty much explains what's happening pretty well.

Been a little busier than usual since I've been trying to finish things I wantd to do over the summer, but that doesn't mean I don't have time to peruse my screenshots folder. Here's something I think could fit here nicely. If you've been active amongst Roblox clones or you were thirsting for Roblox nostalgia, then you've probably heard of Finobe. Or at least what once was Finobe. Turns out modifying versions of Roblox that haven't been relevant in years is rather not legal, but that's besides the point.

I recently redisovered some screenshots I took of the forums, specifically 2 screenshots of a single post. For context, Roblox Clones and Revivals (which are sperate things)--more specifically revivals--tend to inspire a lot of other clones/revivals, and apperently Lucjan made one of his own. Also, at the time there was a big scare amongst Roblox Clones and Revivals (since they all tend to share the same users) of IP loggers, possibly because a smaller clone/revival site had either been revealed to be logging IPs or had a security breach. I reason i say eitehr is because both happened but I don't remember exactly when. Anyway, all of this is to say that Lucjan had a clone/revival, and everyone freaked-out because they thought it wasn an IP logger (or they were just purposefully spreading a little misinformation), which lead to his site's (presumably) discord server being raided, which he wasn't very appreciative of. This lead to one of the most Finobe-like threads on the Finobe forums, complete with a little gaslighting.

Happy 1 year anniversary! And for this momentous occasion, I have something truly special for everyone. As promised, I looked at another review section of another book on barnesandnoble.com, and this time I found something truly... extraordinary. A decade-old Warrior Cats roleplay, with the book in question being (drumroll please): A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. More spcifically, this version. At the end of this post, I'll give you some tips on how to find dumb Barnes & Noble reviews on your own in the wild. Anyways, let us enjoy this modern literary masterpeice in chronological order.

I seems like this person figured out what was going on in the reviews, and made one desperate plea to the roleplayers to stop. But alas, they failed.

This top review looks like it belongs to something else, but I dunno maybe armor, swords, and guns are cannon in the Warrior Cats universe. I've never read 'em.

Things are really heating up now.

I feel like a lot of context is missing. The first screenshot mentions reporting, so maybe that 1 reviewer from the first screenshot got a buch of reviews deleted, which would also explain why thier review predates all the rp reviews.

These reviews were also accompanied by other miscellanious reviews which I feel are still noteworthy (again, in chronological order):

These last 2 reviews don't appear to be part of the other roleplay, but is still noteworthy so I put it here.

Now you might want to go Barnes & Noble review hunting yourself, so I'll tell you how I found these reviews, and luckily for you it's really simple. All I did is I found a well-known book (as I'm sure most of you have at least heard about "A Tale of Two Cities") and scrolled down to the reviews section. However, the first 2 reviews I found earlier were not on as popular of a book, so there are probably more Warrior Cats roleplays out there, possibly in the reviews section of your favorite book. They could just be sitting there, waiting to be read by another living soul. If you find any more wacky reviews, feel free to post link the book's webpage on my site wall on Neocities, as I'm certain there's more out there.

Guess who forgot to post during June! You're right, it was yours truly. But that means I'm posting twice this month, and the 1 year anniversary post is gonna be big. Anyway, here's what I was going to post during June: More online quiz garbage! At first I thought it was by the same people who blessed (or cursed) us with the previous internet tumor, but on second look their clearly different people. The last site was quiztest.me, while this site is testname.me. I'm still waiting for quiztest to bless us with more eye cancer, but for now, we have (or had) this. And who said cringe culture as dead?

May 27th, 2022

Haven't looked for more reviews yet, but I will Soon (TM). Anyway, heres the other review I found, this one being older than the other review.

But yeah, that's about it. Gonna try and post in the next week or so. I guess I'll take this time to remind everyone to check the Bulletin Board section of the site and by extension check out my other blog I made.

April 26th, 2022

So at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year I had to choose 3 books/stories by the same author to write about in 3 essays (1 for each book/story), and then compile them in 1 singular essay. Now you might be asking "Okay, well why does this matter?" The answer is that while searching for these books I looked on Barnes And Noble's official website and discovered these 2 incredibly dumb reviews. I'm not sure if this is unique to Barnes And Noble but I'll investiagte further. Right now, I have 2 screenies, and I will present one now and one at a later date. Behold, one of the dumbest book reviews on the internet:

March 22nd, 2022

A few months ago I was looking through old Goecities webpages (from like 1995) on the Wayback Machine, and I stumbled across this webpage. I forget what page exactly, but I think it may have been on the "Featured Pages" section or whatever its called. Anyway, I click on the page and I found this:

Now I'm not sure about you, but I don't know anyone that had questions about HAL 9000's copper wire peen, but here we are. But this goofy little bullet (maybe selling point) has certainly intrigued me. It's not everyday that a book explores the genetalia of an AI from a classic sci-fi movie.

February 25th, 2022

Here's a screenshot of this very extreme ad I found a took a while ago. Forget why or where I got this ad but I did.

Now why should we "get rid" of these dog breeds if we have them? Well, *puts on tinfoil hat* maybe... THEY'RE DOGS OF THE ANTICHRIST AND ARE A SIGN OF THE APOCOLYPSE AND OUR IMPENDING DOOM TO THE GAY SHAPE-SHIFTING GOVERNMENT-RUNNING 5G-POMOTING FREE MASON JEWISH LIZARD AILENS AND THEY WANT TO KILL US ALL AND TURN OUR KIDS GAY! Or, *takes off tinfoil hat* it's just some article clickbait. Probably the ladder, or maybe that's what they want you to think!

January 27th, 2022

I feel like this blog's been a bit too bitchy recently, so here's something I just find plain-old funny.

I found this while just looking on eBay (I guess you could call it "virtual window shopping", because I didn't buy anything), and it gave me a giggle or 2. But let's not beat around the bush here; It's a penis. There is no person walking, or for that matter in history, who wouldn't recognize it as such unless they've been sheltered to an impossible degree. I'm sure they knew this, and had to censor themselves for one reason or another, but then they could've just not mentioned it, or used more professional terminology like "phallic". But in the end, I'm glad they didn't because the title is really what makes it.

December 27th, 2021

A belated Merry Christmas and an early happy new year! Hopefully the new year will bring me ample opportunities to post here, because trust me, keeping the stuff I post about is pretty hard. But I also know it'll being more improvements to this site (at least when I'm motivated to do so). Anyway, back to the cancer.

So I'm sure you've at least heard of Poppy Playtime. If you haven't by some act of God, then let me catch you up to speed: It's a horror game that went viral around 2 or so months ago. Now here is a thumbnail from a Minecraft YouTuber (becasue of fucking course they're a Minecraft YouTuber) which uses a character from the aformentioned Poppy Playtime (said character being the thin blue thing, known as Mr. Huggy) in their Elsagate-esque clickbait. Now I found this image devoid of context, meaning this could just be a realistic parody, but also come on, are we really giving whoever made this thumbnail the benefit of the doubt after they made this Elsagate abomination?

November 30th, 2021

Get ready because I'm boutta drop a big steamy hot-take on yall.

Twitter... is bad.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, i'll now show you an interaction from Twitter which is actually rather nice. But no-life troll or not, this image illistrates something else which I firmly believe; that parents need to monitor their kids more. Now, I'm not suggesting that parents should be up their kids ass 24/7 nor am I saying to ban them from the internet entirely, but what I am saying is that they need to take advantage of things such as blocking websites and taking advantage of parental controls (they do, in fact, exist for a reason). I think it's just too easy for parents to leave their kids with their iPad and forget about them while they go and read 50 Shades of Grey or something, but iPads aren't self-regulating child-raisers (and the internet at large certainly isn't), and I think we all know what happens next (hint, look at the image below). Now before the doomers and pesemists start going on their whole "The world is doomed" spiel, let me just say that future parents who grew up with this kind of technology will likely be better in regulating it for their kids because they know how it works and what they can do with it. Granted this isn't garunteed to happen, but people are smarter than we give ourselves credit for.

TL;DR, don't let your 5-year-old have free reign over the internet. Hope I wasn't being too preachy/serious in this post, didn't have any other images for this month, and I couldn't have explained what was wrong without fully explaining my position. The next posts should be more light-hearted as they've been. Don't forget to submit an image if you've got something original you'd like to see on this site!

October 27th, 2021

So if you have visited the YouTube comment sections of any decently sized creator, you've probably seen these sex bots in the replies of comments, and if you haven't well now you know. Anyways, A few weeks ago I commented on a Roblox video about a new TOS update (I know I'm a Roblox nerd shut the fuck, also insert YouTube plug here), and I guess this specific bot was sleeping for 2 weeks because it replied only a few days ago. The following image is what the bot replied with, and... it's just something you'll have to see to believe.

Obviously the funniest part about this comment is that it implies Osama Bin Laden had a Roblox account, which is something I want to make rumor out of really badly. Although all jokes aside, while the bot programmer is trying to scam people, I gotta give them props for having the bots more realistic by making them look at the captions of the video (or at least I think that's what they did).

September 27th, 2021

If you payed attention to the Bulletin Board I added a few weeks ago, or just payed attention to when I update my site, you would've realized that I'm kinda having trouble findings things for this site. But, I've gone into depth about that on the Bulletin Board, so check it out (it's under the button to go to the posts page).

Anyway, a few weeks ago I was messing around in Garry's Mod, and I decided I wanted to make a spookie satanic circle, so I Googled it to get some reference images (because I'm dumb and wanted to get it right). When I typed it in however, these were the top search results;

So good to know I can do that, I guess? Maybe in a New Horizons update Nitendo will add a way to sacrafice villagers you don't want so you don't have to spend hours torturing them to make them leave. Or just make of this what you will. (Edited October 27th 2021.)

August 24th, 2021

So, it's been a fat minute since I last updated this, which can be attributed to 2 things. One, I was lazy. And two, I only want to use images I screenshotted myself so this website doesn't become a shittier version of Reddit or Imgur or wherever images like these are usually spread.

Anyways, here's this real advertisment that I saw on YouTube a few weeks ago. There was another version of it, but not only was I not able to capture it, I also think this might be enough pain for most people, so I'll spare y'all. Now, I don't think I need to explain why this is weird for not just a YouTube ad, but just as an ad in general. Now obviously this is clickbait, but even knowing that I'm still asking "Why did Google allow this on YouTube, a website you can get your revenue yoinked because you said a few too many mean words," and "Who thought this was a good idea?" Sure, it'll get people to notice your website, but do the people at quiztest.me really want to associate themselves with people who draw weird porn of videogame characters and audio software mascots? Either someone should be fired, or the marketing team over at quiztest.me needs to re-think their strategy.

July 29th, 2021

Earlier this year we sadly lost a website every near and dear to the internet's collective hearts, and that website was Yahoo Answers. Before it shut down however, I captured this screenshot to remember it by, and hopefully generations to come will also see this image and get an idea of how magical Yahoo Answers was. A YouTube comment I think sums up Yahoo Answers perectly, by saying "It may have been garbage, but it was our garbage."

July 27th, 2021

Starting off strong with this example of what not to post on the internet in the form of a YouTube comment. For context, it was found on a YouTube shitpost of an Asian man yelling, while under him text reads "Me explaining to my parents how gay furry p*rn ended up in my history" (don't ask why I was watching this video, it was recommended to me).
